Very cool Series 3 E-Type. Sold in the US from 1971-1974.

Thank you Filip! I guess these cars are now in hands of collectors who only take them out of their garages for special events only considering the high prices they reached.
Here in my Country have arrived very very few in the 1960's and 1970´s a probably a few collectors have imported a few more in the last decade. Interesting to know it is rare in California as well. It´s always a pleasure when we classic car lovers can vie...

Yes, masking the license plate is smart. A long time ago i ask Nicolas to remove a picture i post. I guess Abel can not edit the picture anymore, so a moderator must do. Here a car with a masked license plate. ...
Ha ha ha!! Thank you IWC! That car was parked outside the restaurant. I tried to maintain the privacy but ommited to mask that shot and posted. I don´t know the owner of that car.

A Black paint, Black top, Black leather XK V12 would have melted in Southern California

... (that´s around 100/104 F ) and guess an all black car would be very uncomfotable to ride and a crowded engine compartment like in these Jaguars must be like a little Hell indeed. Can well imagine rubber hoses and other components would suffer so much....
In fact the later V12 Jaguar actually had a "cooling fan" on the battery
