That’s a great reply. I am not at all a fan of ‘piped in sound’, and I don’t enjoy crazy loud, straight piped exhaust either. You’re absolutely right that many modern sports/supercars have an exhaust note that is tuned quite different than was prevalent 20-30 years ago. I prefer the modern notes, I suppose, and I am used to them. I. Was expecting to hears something like that from the NSX. The ‘disappointment’ was not at all a reflection on the car itself. I have heard great things about its performance and handling. And it certainly looks great!

All this, by the way, from a guy who daily drives a 550i that sounds (and feels) like an electric car from the inside! smile

I saw someone driving the new Acura NSX on my way to the office last week.

This is the first I have seen in the wild. It looked d@mn sexy! BUT I couldn’t hear it. At all. That was disappointing. :-( ...

LOL!

I think that would give the Vette a run for her money! But I would always bet on me! 😁👍

I suspect perhaps it doesn’t roar much!

It is a 3.5l hybrid v6 with twin turbos. Thomas had driven one and could tell us what it sounds like. From the inside of my 550i at highway speed, the Acura could not be heard at all. :-(

A pity! [nt]

I'm not too worried about how it sounds while cruising sedately.

I know from experience that these sound fierce when pushed properly. At the moment, there's a parallel movement to tune exterior exhaust sounds to the level of affectation even as cars are becoming less involving from the driver's seat. It's particularly ...

That car, too was underrated in its time.

The trick is to truly appreciate the forward-looking car during its lifetime. Many derided the original NSX as a soulless Xerox of a Ferrari 328, and the notion couldn't have been more wrong. That original NSX was technology showcase, a rethink of superca...

Cool car.

I test drove one recently, and it was fairly quiet. The electric motors helped the car get up to speed. I was thinking about trying something new after owning my GTR for a few years. In the end, I decided to keep the GTR.

Having driven the car...

I have to say, I was not impressed with the sound nor the car and how it made me feel. Perhaps some more time is needed for me to get to know the car. But, when a Lamborghini Huracan can excite me so readily... I feel that it's almost unfair to give the N...

Technically interesting …

I think that the price was against the car when compared with the alternatives.
