Changing the rear wheel speed sensors on my beast. Getting the tools ready. Car lifted, jack stands locked in place and tyres off. Now to replace with these... Getting too old for tasks such as these, so taking a smoke break 😂 ...  

New technologies on cars are not always difficult to work on. The complain of many car enthusiasts, they do not like modern cars and stay repairing classics with not complicated techs. You prove the opposite, and i like that.

tools to go about the task and of course knowing what needs doing. Some proper safety requirements and some passion. These are just minor maintenance work. Google and YouTube works wonders! I love working on vintage cars as well and hope to acquire an E9 ... 

wheel speed sensors installed... what is the model and year of your modern Volvo. I can try to look it up.

I hope you is able to change the sensor without pull off the driveshaft. That is a pain to do without a lift. Good luck.

The sensors are located just behind the wheel hubs. As I do not have a car lift, the work takes some doing 😅

they use to be very hard to get loose. Sometimes you have to pull out the driveshaft so you can force it out from the backside. When it is out you have to use a drill at the hole to clean up with so the new sensor will fits in the hole. If you do that wit... 

I had the bolts sprayed with WD40 overnight but it is still a pain 😡 A long nose pliers helps though

to ‘wriggle’ the sensor slowly out... lots of dirt after years of accumulation 😂😂😂 How I wish, I have a 2 or 4 post lift. Makes all the work so much less effort

after 30 years working with lifts and closer to 60 I try to avoid working with jacks. 🤣🤣

I do not smoke much. A packet of 20 will last me a couple of days. However, if during winter and if Nico is around, then those numbers would not stand! 🤣🤣🤣
