Yikes! Things happen!

This movement is probably made on an assembly line.  Meaning multiple watchmakers add on their modules to the movement.  So, let's say hypothetically one watchmaker assembles the winding gear train module, and he always does so incorrectly, then just about every watch will have the problem!  So that's probably why many people have problems!  And considering these problems may take many months to be realized, it's quite possible that hundreds of these movements have left the factory with this flaw before it was corrected!
