Yes it's on the squatter side. 12.6mm. 41mm case diameter and 22mm lug width too, so it'll sit substantially on the wrist.

I have a couple of watches like this so know how it will feel. I like the idea that a watch with a 1920s chronograph appearance can feel like a full-on modern watch at the same time. And frankly that dial needs room to express itself. The ivory laquer has salmon undertones, according to this video: www.youtube.com
It has a dubois-dupraz vertical clutch chronograph module on the movement to reproduce that 1920s, small register look.

...and drooled over it in Tokyo. A really great-looking watch with a lot of presence. It I recall it was a bit thick, but the dial and hands are fantastic : )
It is striking looking!

I think I like the brown/tan strap better than the black, even though the numerals are black. It’s making me rethink my, “strap color must match my belt color” theory. This is an elegant reference, no doubt about that.
I owned it and loved it

so many watches have been going nuts pricing wise so i guess relatively not bad, but i remember thinking these were a screaming bargain in the low teens. still not bad at half off. remember trying it on years ago and thinking how nice the dial looked.
I'm always two years too late. Still, am not complaining.

Some analytics for this reference put its fair price in the mid-teens. That's a third of MSRP. So perhaps it's as you say - prices are creeping up again. Then again, there are a number of pieces on the market at prices set much closer to retail. I can't f...

This, my friend, is a thing of beauty. I first tried this watch on in maybe 2009/2010 I believe. Stunning - it made me research the history of AP more, and look into their style in the 1950s. You will see this design often in their older pieces. I have al...
Thank you for the detailed reply.

I am quite excited to see the dial again in a live picture. If I remember correctly, I felt it was more ivory than cream, but changes so much in the light. I also wouldn't have any objections in a modern automatic movement in an more classic design dial s...
