Recently, a few friends have checked in with me to ask about my AP Rubens Barrichello II Royal Oak Offshore. "Do you still have that watch?", "do you still wear that watch?", those have been the questions. So I felt maybe I had neglected to share this one...

Sometimes, it takes owning a piece to discover you don't like it. In the best cases, we discover we like it more and more as time goes on. Such is the joyful pleasure of the RB2.

is an icon and the watch that drew me towards the ROOs. I was able to acquire a few ROOs thereafter but regret not securing an RBII - still the King in my books! Best fernando

I would label this RB2 as such. And given the many other wonderful choices from AP, that is saying a ton.

I really appreciate your contribution. I did not speak to the exact points you made, and they are quite valid. I have worn my watch to AP functions where even AP staff members want to see it up close. It really commands a lot of attention. In that regard,... 

thanks for the wonderful write up and equally great photos. It is always nice to read real world experiences, especially on long term ownership. This is a very nice looking Offshore, and first time I'm seeing it up close. I love the detailing on the bezel... 

I am honest enough to say the watch is big on my wrist, but I'm comfortable with how it sits and feels. It has been a while since I have tried on an AP 44mm Offshore, and I do feel these 42mm designs are best for me. The RB2 has a bigger visual impression...
