I have been looking for a black ceramic watch for a while (my Hautlence is DLC coated). I also kept thinking about your wonderful MECA 10. But in the end it was out of question for me because I already have the beautiful Hublot Big Bang Essential Grey you...

this watch is really a beast! It had enormous wrist presence. On the other hand, the black, slightly matte shimmering ceramic case and bracelet make this “wild thing” less ostentatious. A really fascinating mix. Thanks for your kind words ☺️

A lot has changed in my private life in recent years. And I think I've changed personally too (hopefully for the better!). As far as my watches are concerned, not everything I've done has always been intelligent. Sometimes I've sold watches again at a sig... 

Thank you for sharing with us! A 42mm case size is great for any offshore. And it in ceramic, it probably makes for such an interesting fit and feel on the wrist.

You are absolutely right about the case size. I also think that with a ROO a diameter of 42 mm is probably perfect for every wrist. I was surprised that the watch looks bigger on my wrist than I thought. This is probably due to the chromatic look of the c...  

This Offshore looks so conceptual in the full black case and bracelet. I have tried it on before and it has a cool feel on the wrist. Congrats!

I have to say, I was brave. There is no AP shop in Austria and, apart from a repair center, no AP representative. I have never had this watch on my wrist and I just... trusted. I have literally devoured every written review and YouTube video I could find ... 

Your date change is right on the money! This one is made for the long term so long as it is never dropped or banged. I hope it provides you immense pleasure. In nearly 25 years of collecting AP, the watches have always enriched my daily life.

I haven’t found the slightest flaw yet. You are absolutely right about your objection to an immediate date change at midnight in a certain price range or quality class of a watch. My two Pateks that I have owned have not managed this, nor have either of m...

I wished I can be more disciplined like you, to stick to the rule of "one-in, one-out". A friend of mine had the same motto but has since become 5-in, one-out, lol....

It all started to get out of hand. But now I've disciplined myself again. And that's a really good feeling. Above all, it prevents impulse purchases. I really have to be prepared to let go of another watch and it's getting more and more difficult to make ... 

Does it wear true to size?

because the case and the bracelet blend beautifully together. I had a similar effect with my first Rolex DD 36, which also looked much bigger. The "beast" sits perfectly on the wrist, although the bracelet is probably a bit too wide. Maybe I'll have anoth...

Sorry for the delayed response - but huge congrats on getting "the beast" - just like you, I had a meaningful connection to the original beast many decades ago as my first AP (and a decision I took over a Daytona) and the opportunity to get this piece man... 

I am a great admirer of your impressive collection, which is in a whole different league. I am still a novice when it comes to AP. And I am extremely impressed by the quality, the timeless yet powerful, modern design and the wearing comfort of this watch....
