Hi all, Amongst the 3 watches given, which would you choose and why? Thanks in advace for your answer!

swcloh, I chose the Survivor because I do like black watches and firearm design, and I don't like forged carbon, colorful watches, or watches named after people. To each his own.

I would take the RB2 in any metal. In my personal opinion its the best looking ROO of all time...  

Hi Tourbillon001, I noticed that your RB2 has a blue face. So far, from most of the ones I've seen, they have been black. Or is it a photo illusion? Nice collections btw!

it is blue indeed. I think the version you are referring to is the Ti RB2 which is stunning as well. This version is Pt. This is the TI...  

I didn't realize that the blue dial is the platinum version while black is the titanium. Tells you how amateur I am with AP! But thank you for your wonderful posts and pics! You guys are really very helpful and inspirational!

Hello swcloh, I like the rugged look of the AP Survivor but not wish the crown protectors protruded less, the GP has so many details to it but the IMO the dial colors are something you gotta get used to. Have you seen them in person? Are you liking one ov... 

But not RB2 because that's really scarce! I know it's a personal preference and I posted the thread just to hear out each owner's point of view and their love factor for buying them. You know sometimes we buy a watch on impulse and after a while you find ... 

I would choose the RB2 in rose gold over any waych in the world. I own the RB2 Titanium and have just bought the GP Carbon. I think the RB 2 in all metals and the GP are the best looking ROO's ever made!

Which watch would get more of your wrist time? The 2 are pretty similar in layout minus the fancy color and material of the watch. And having the GP & RB2, which keeps better timing? Considering the GP houses the 3126 with longer power reserve...

Probably not. It sounds like you may have some concern over the Survivor and it may be a decison between the RBII and the GP. There has to be one that really sings to you above the others when yo put it on your wrist. Sometimes we can over-think these thi... 

advice Respo! I have tried the GP Carbon and went Ga-Ga over it at the AD when it was being previewed. However, a week later, when I was shown the SuRvivor, somehow, the dark aesthetics of the watch with it's funky artsy shape won my attention over the GP... 

and not eventually sell, my bet would be on the RB2. The Survivor has a unique look and I feel I would get tired of it after awhile just like how I felt about my ex-T3. And with the Grand Prix Carbon, the colors are too bright for me, so I feel my passion... 

On a long run definitely the RBII in all metals, funny enough I have the survivor and GP BUT not the RBII XD

Must be tough sometimes choosing which amazing piece to wear out. So would your decision making be based on mood or fashion sense? Are you getting the RB 2 soon?

I only sold it because I had to. Needed funds to pay for another watch which was too good of an opportunity to pass up. I figured I could always buy the RM011 back later in the future since it is a regular production model. - AT

And I'm considering the RM 011 as well. As as much as I'd like to own all the masterpieces, my budget only allows me so much...what do you think about the RG RM 011 version, is that too loud? Or the titanium is simply more practical? Did you get another m... 

I guess you can say I got a personalized watch but I don't consider it a masterpiece. It's an AP but I can't post any pictures until I get the 2 thumbs up Cheers, Anthony

because I consider the RM011 more "unique" since there really isn't any other RM of this size and thickness yet. For the RB2, there are other Offshores similar in styling, size, and complication, so that's why I consider the RB2 less unique than a RM011. ... 

I agree with you that the RM 011 is uniquely position, be it size, design AND price as well. It's a tough call between it and RB2 and my only concern with the RM 011 is the quality of the movement which I've read about in the earlier 2007/2008 models.

IMO, RB2 would stand the test of time better than the other two--it is already a classic. To me, the pusher guards of Survivor is kinda out of proportion for watch size, probably if implemented in 44mm casing as in Alinghi would be better. As for GP, thei... 

Exactly my thoughts too.

imo ap has yet to out-do the rb2. it will keep its value better than the other two. the ceramic bezel is virtually indestructible and if the case gets scratched you can get it refinished unlike the other two. survivor - i think its a niche watch, the curr...

RBII for value retention, Survivor for unique and GP for a amalgamation of all previous APROOs ever done(comment from a fellow WIS) for me...none of the above...i will rather go back to base ROOs or the TA, becoz i m tired of all these unlimited limited e...

As that's a fantastic piece as well. I owned the titanium RB2. While it was nice, it lacked flare. But when I finally found a titanium Montoya, I was blown away. It's just as superb design wise. Yet, it adds an element of flare in different lighting that ... 

But I'm sure it's an amazing piece. Not too thrilled with all the F1 drivers naming convention with AP watches though...

I certainly don't even pay attention to the names at all whether it be named after a someone or after a silly insect. A name is just a name.
