Audemars Piguet

I have enjoyed this special watch for a few days. My experience so far has been very gratifying. This is my first Audemars Piguet and it is also my first perpetual calendar. For some time my grail was the PP 5140, and when I decided to go for the perpetua...

I tried on the 05 and it looked somewhat darker. I agree with you that the darker dial looks more interesting, on steel cases. Goh

Hi ED. The second photo from my original post better reflects the true color of the dial. You are right about the AP website. I too was confused by their photographs -as reference 05 appears more grey and reference 04 more blue-. I asked the page from the...

Personally, I am a huge fan of the Patek Philippe 5140. The 5140 is my favorite perpetual calendar watch. However, despite my loyalty to the 5140, I am very much intrigued about your Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar. Congratulations upon the acquisition of a ... 

... though, admittedly, a little bit unfaithful, to 5140. However, as days go by with this Royal Oak my appreciation for this watch has increased. Usability is a very strong point from my perspective, and with my lifestyle the AP comes on top in this depa... 

...the 5140 on my PC list in terms of 'wear-ability'. As much as I still think the 5140 is the most classically Perpetual, it is just too small on the wrist. I tried on a white dial over the weekend and I must say, it needed the wife's help to come off!
