As others have said, it's not worth bothering until the next mechanical service, when a light polish can be done, while retaining the satin brush finish.
Officially, we are suppose to check water-resistance annually but service every 3 - 5 years.
I've never seen people do the annual check thing unless they are divers and depend on that rating.
One AP senior executive even told me not to send in for service until I notice timing issues.
But he was an unusual chap anyway and the family owned chunks of AP; not from the founding families.
Or did he know something we don't about servicing?
