Whatever truth or science there may be to this, it most definitely suits them to have a recurring revenue stream like this. I don’t think I’d change my behavior. Service when needed.
The reality is that rolex has a way bigger engineering budget because they sell millions of watches. AP is big but rolex is even bigger. The offshore famously has quite a few problems with the crowns falling out etc.
