One of the classics
The 1120/2120/28-255 is for me one of the classic movements. I admit that I am a fan of the movements used in the 50/60, even if they were not what one would today call "in house". To these I also could the older 1071/2071 that had the rotor on rollers on the rotor rather than on the base plate, the very slim 1003/2003 and the robust 1001/1002 ( or 2001/2002 in AP speak). Add to them the small 23-300 and the venerable 27-460 from Patek and I am in vintage heaven
. Not that others did not make interesting and very capable movements, but from an design point of view I find them all graphically very nice drawn and finished.
