Significant improvement

Serious improvement, dare I say I’m looking forward to seeing the best version of this line. It still feels like a demonstration of technical ability first and a nice watch second. Put some of those tricks back in the bag and tell a story that is a bit more romantic than “Good luck trying to create a replica of this”.
It took over ten years of improvement with the Millenary line to get to the 4104 and then, poof, within a few short years. I’d hope the Code 11:59 can enjoy a longer, more successful run. I’d like to see AP can go back and modernize their 1950s triple calendar chronographs and perpetual calendars. It’s low hanging fruit, but a suitable hedge for the brand against this costly campaign with an unknown outcome. Sometimes you have to give the people what they really want, even if you feel you are more sophisticated and know better.

Precious metal and complex technical case but shapeless stick hands and markers. Dial is an improvement but still a half effort. They need a faceted and intentionally designed hand and marker set worthy of the case.
It is getting better

IMHO CODE is the kind of weird beauty borderline ugly that will take some time before people start falling in love with.
Bad

The color and especially how it’s fading from red to deep red to almost black makes it “bloody” to me. Very first word that came to mind was: blood. Additionally it appears to be bit superficial, over the top. Like drag queens sometimes do with their make...
