If you bought it and it says “shave ready”… well, be somewhat cautious. If you know how to hone and strop your own razor, that is best. To test its sharpness, and assuming you have hair on your legs, the razor should cut the hairs when just midway down th...

i’ve been looking at YouTube videos and based on the Dovo information it’s ready to go. I have a strop coming from Amazon and brush w/ soap. I also ordered mineral oil, how often do you treat the blade with oil?
I wouldn’t worry about the mineral oil
Unless you will be storing it for a long time. I really don’t use it. I have a 4K/8k Norton wet hone, and a two sided leather strop. That’s really all that’s needed to maintain the edge, imo.
Mmm sharp angles are part of what I like about the RO!
