I think that its a loveley watch, but its all about how you feel about it. I must say, of all the Alinghi Offshores my favourite is the carbon.
I too am about to purchase my first offshore and am having some trouble deciding. Given that i have been wearing my current watch for 16 years i expect this one to last as well.
Can i ask which of the materials handle wear and tear the best. Platinum, Titanium, RGold, Carbon, Steel or PVD? I tend to treat my watch pretty rough just because i like to forget i am wearing it.
P.S. Alinghi RO above is stunning.
