I have been tempted many times as well.
But...polishing gold is a totally different story to polishing steel, due to the rhodium layer.
Assuming this would not be an issue, it is a superb watch.

This one could be a Franken dial from a WG put into a steel case. Unless the buyer is clear about what he sells, maybe look elsewhere

The square indices indicate that it's white gold.
The date placement indicates it's a 39mm diameter case, long discontinued (newer models are 41mm, I believe). M4
Technically the square indices indicate precious metal, since this model came in WG, YG and RG variants.
They also did a limited edition variant in platinum and steel, which has the square indices.

I believe it was named Kasparov, after the Russian chess champion, if my memory serves me well. I can’t recall how many were made, but most were sold on strap and all in precious metal.
I did it. Price was too good to be true and I have been working on my upgrades with this guy for my collection of 1. He lets me trade and pay the difference.

White Gold
This is white gold face,39mm,usually with black or brown leather strap with white gold foldover buckle. I have one,exchanged the leather strap for brown rubber great. Nice watch,not anymore in production.
Looks like a 26022BC with aftermarket bracelet
I have this model, but with the original factory strap in black. Great watch with a nice solid and weighty feel.
