I rade the AP letter and they probably well measured how you were disappointed. They did the right thing by replacing all the movement. I hope you won\'t use this nice AP pen to write them that your timepiece doesn\'t work anymore ;-) Enjoy and wear it in...

Don\'t lose the love! I had issues with my IWC Portuguese but I pushed through and I\'m wearing it with great joy right now. Time heals wounds! Wear it with abandon and enjoy it!

The letter clearly says they have exchanged the whole movement, so i'd expect 2 weeks were a reasonable time. I also know that customers services are basically overburdened

First they assembled a new movement and then they wanted to test the cased movement for some 2 month to be 100% sure. Best, Kari

Funny enough saw it in London last week at the burlington Arcade and thought the seller had cages the strap or recased the dial. It is still a super sexy watch, AP'S answer to the black Daytona!

Definitely an extreme case you had to deal with. I felt bad for the trials you experienced. We are all passionate, and there is a real emotional involvement with our watches. Best of luck with it, Kari.

Just curious-- Would it have been an option for them to replace the whole watch rather than just the movement? Seems like like not having the case and movement that were "born" together could undermine value in a watch of this caliber if you wanted to sel... 

The value is not the same after the change of the movement. But I got a pen. LOL! Best, Kari

glad the problem was solved by AP, I especially love how the warranty has been extended. AP extended the same courtesy when I had a problem with my AP ROO RG.

But naturally I would have preferred to keep the original movement of the watch or to get a new movement in a new case with new papers. They could have taken the bracelet and dial + hands from the old one. I know for 100% the companies like Patek would ha... 

there are cases that the owner would not even know. The house Cat could of push it of the dresser and the cleaning lady picked it up and put on the table it could of land on a carpet, no visible marks but damage is done. Sorry just a critical thought . I ... 

and the rest are, without exception, either well protected in my safe or bank vault. For the nights I have a special leather bowl (a present from PP) where I put the watch - high up. And from next morning after the shower the watch comes back to my wrist ...
