I've owned both
AP's forged carbon and ceramic are truly on another level in my view vs most other brands. Their ceramic is finished at a standard that is just amazing while the forged carbon has some terrific properties. Net net, I think that it depends on the overall aesthetic of the individual piece.
For example, I prefer the ceramic diver vs the forged diver because of the orange accent is more distinctive. I also don't like how the triangle of the inner bezel is split on the yellow forged carbon (I owned this model previously and sold it). For the 44mm, I prefer the forged carbon vs the black dialled ceramic. If it's the anthracite dial then ceramic all the way. I actually just purchased the white ceramic 44mm ROO. It's awesome. But then again I would get the black diver vs the white diver.
As for pricing, I think it's because the ceramic divers are boutique only and you can infer the realities on pricing policies.

Forged Carbon Always!!!
