I would choose the panda dial ss ROC. It is true that the gold watch will be a bit more limiting. The ss ROC on the other hand is extremely versatile. You can always add a gold Royal Oak later. Now all that said, when I read through your post I sense your... 

I echo MichaelC's comments, sounds like your heart is calling for the RG 15300. Personally I have the RG but with brown strap and white dial, and I find that it can be worn casually as well. If you can afford it, go with the RG and enjoy. Regards, ED-209 ...

I would pick the RG15300…but being 25 years old, I would be cautious of not wanting to look like i'm wearing my dad's watch…..unless of course you can pull it off!

They are fun and cool, best part is most folks have no clue what you have on your wrist. I am a huge RG AP fan so I may be a bit biased. The leather strap is also quite durable. Let us know what you choose. JerryW

And been going through the AP catalogs and internet pics on both the 15300or and 26300st together with my gf. This morning I have decided to go with the 26300st panda dial. Some of you might have gotten a wrong idea that I love the 15300 more than the 263...
