Audemars Piguet SIHH2018: Royal Oak Double Balance Wheel Openworked
AP's Caliber 3132, first introduced in 2016 in a 41mm Royal Oak case, is now offered in a 37mm hammered white gold case, or a pink gold case. The movement features two balance springs and two hairsprings operating on the same axis.
I find the angled inner minute ring and further angled 5 minute markers absolutely striking on this model. Small details, but not to be overlooked.

......as someone without any brand loyalty, AP are totally dominating SIHH in my view. Some absolute stunners.
I "DO" have several brand loyalties...
But nobody can deny AP's impressive showing this year. IMO, brand loyalty doesn't dissuade me from acknowledging the extraordinary accomplishments of other brands. Curious to see if they held back anything for Basel.

...on the first straight-on shot of the white gold model, the brand name at 12 o'clock looks crooked. I'm sure it isn't, but set against the background with so much going on it gives the illusion of not being properly aligned. An optical illusion no doubt...
