Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 4332St - First Royal Oak 36mm
Dear all,
I’m pleased to show you this Royal Oak 4332st, produced in 1983/1984 in only 201 pieces in steel, this is the first 36mm Royal Oak, a mid size watch that wears like a 5711 with in my opinion the best proportions to be elegant and sporty.
Like its predecessor Model 4100, Model 4332 houses a calibre with a 26 mm diameter (11½ lignes). Thanks to the diameter of the new case being enlarged by one millimetre, watchmakers had a little more space inside to ensure the watch's water resistance.

The dial keeps the fantastic t21 micro tapisserie and the historical AP font for the writings.
This model offers an ideal combination of proportions (dial, hour markers, rehaut height etc etc) and wearability, making it one of the best-looking Royal Oaks ever created.

Looks like that hour hand needs some aligning. I wonder if the hands were previously replaced.
Welcome to the forum. According to AP’s own “Chronicles,” the 4332 “perpetuates the aesthetic codes introduced by the 4100SA model.”
Great example of a low production model with a screw down crown for better water resistance.
