Can an AP or custom strap be attached to case of AP 14790 ? ...

That’s just it I can’t seem to find any ref. to this model having a leather strap online or any pictures of the same.

I’m seeing some potential custom strap makers. Not sure the lug width on 14790st and on the 25920st (read they should have the same case) should be less than 28mm perhaps 26mm?

Or send them an e-mail for help. Maybe even try AP?

The 36 mm RO with leather strap came with a different case shape to accommodate the leather strap, they were not like the later larger models that with four plots, a strap and the deployant or buckle you could make the conversion. Maybe this information i... 

and looks unlikely to every use a SS strap I’ve seen no images online or elsewhere showing a 14790 with a leather strap.. sadly as I am considering a 14790ST or 25920ST both 36mm I suppose it may be possible via custom strap maker though still believe we’...

I've got a 15189st which have the same case as the 14790 (36 mm) So you can find below the 3 strap sku for your 14790. Personnaly, i'm looking for a stainless steel strap for my 15189st (the one of the 14790) so, if somebody have one to sell... ...  

Which is also supposed to have the same dimensions as the 14790ST at 36mm Which means these 3 straps should fit. A while back when I looked for a strap other than the one specifically for my watch the Boutique said I couldn’t have it. Perhaps the strap ne... 

As I understand, the part number of the strap is in the part number of the watch: I’ve got a 15189 D083CU .01 so the original strap is the 083CU . If you have a 25920 0789ST .01, your original strap is the BR. 0789 .001. ST (code in the third position). ... 

I will look into these straps. So direct from AP AD we can’t buy straps except for our own watches right? Then you need to borrow a 14790ST owner and go order a steel strap. I need do the same with a leather strap! Haha. I do love the bracelet on my Quant... 

For me, there is no problem to buy a leather strap in a AP dealer. even if it's not the original one. You just order the one you want : brown alligator : Black alligator : Brown leather : The stainless steal one is not easy to find !! so if you want to... 

Though would the strap come with plots? The end link on mine is fixed to the rest of the bracelet. So I’d need these plots to attach to new strap and the watch head I did see not too long ago I’m sure a 14790 bracelet for sale. The AP straps don’t come wi... 

As I can see and for the price, I guess these references are without plots and deployant clasp. But you can find deployant clasp easyly on Chrono24 3mm plots are more difficult to find if you remenber where you see this 14790 bracelet, let me know ! ;o)

This is indeed the missing link, so to speak. I haven’t seen any online. There’s APBands who are doing all sorts of customisation including plot kits but nothing for 14790ST series or 36 mm watches. I considered if there was a way to order custom 3D print... 

You can get this original set from AP. They are pricey. You could get yourself a decent watch for the price of these. I tried it for a while and in the end reverted to the bracelet, which does look better in my opinion. Best. Benjamin ...  

Good news. I like the picture of your strap though. What size and did you buy this set from an AD for how much? ...  

.. but I found the bracelet more comfortable. This strap is quite imposing and in my opinion the bracelet is better suited to my watch.
