For me the finishing and the geometry of the construction. For example those chrono pushers in the pic you posted - nobody else has such a cool design, IMO.
AP finishing

If it is still around. I a pretty dure it looks as good now as it did back then but it would be nice to see if there are any noticeable changes. Thanks Bill

Interessting is though, that the "langschliff" on the black ceramic is much more spectacular than on the grey cermet.
AP has the best case finishing in the business.
I just do not get the new sandblast finish.
