Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Survivor

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Survivor, ref : 261651O.OO.A002CA.01, limited edition to 1000 pieces worldwide was launched in 2008. In my opinion, this is the most unique Royal Oak Offshore LE ever produced by AP. The case, crown and the chrono pusher guards are made of blackened PVD titanium, where the perforated bezel and chrono pushers are made of ceramics. What Audemars Piguet does incredibly well is the finishing on the case, the way the brushed finish looks on the blackened titanium is just amazing, Although the case measures 42mm, the Survivor feels significantly larger due to the protruding chrono pusher guards and overall thickness of the watch measures 15.65mm. It feels more like a 50mm, however, it's very comfortable with the textured rubber strap and the tang buckle. The watch is so light that it almost feel nothing on your wrist! The perforated ceramic bezel on the watch is simply gorgeous and it's also scratch proof unless it met with another ceramic. The matte black dial has a striking “mega tapisserie” patten, where the tapisserie pattern has become synonymous to Audemars Piguet. The Survivor is powered by the manufacture Audemars Piguet calibre 3126/3840 with a selfwinding movement that has 59 jewels, 365 parts with a power reserve of 55 hours, the ironic 22-carat gold rotor with ceramic ball-bearings is hidden inside the back case with a thick and nice raised engraving that reads "Royal Oak Offshore Survivor Limited Edition". The design of the polished white gold hands looks like the jungle survivor knife.

The second hand looks some kind of sniper aiming fore sight.

The crown features the M16/AK47 assault rifle's muzzle.

The chrono pusher guards as the hand grenade safety levers.

The above give the watch a muscular look and ready for jungle warfare.

Congrats once again for this acquisition! The Survivor is no doubt the most interesting design of all ROOs, with daring play of materials and weaponry inspired details at every corner of the watch. It truly reflects the experiemental spirit of the Offshor...

Very cool

Great pics. I share the view that the Survivor is the most unique of the Offshores and I at least hope that we haven't seen the last of its famous pusher guards. Enjoy your Survivor. M4

I'm not a fan of the pushers BUT I hope AP

Release a more refined Survivor 2 in the future! Who else would like to see another Survivor?

I thought the same, and could not readily identify the maker.
