Armis has ignited the Royal Oak Offshore flame lately.
Many newer members might not know this (and by newer, I mean if you joined in the past 10-12 years), but this forum used to be all Offshore, all the time. Of course, AP had a period starting circa 2004 where they rolled out legend after legend, and the forum was very Offshore heavy. Royal Oak was not discussed nearly as much, but, over time, moved back into its dominant role.
Personally, I love when our forum is blended with these two lines and CODE models. Lookbacks to the Millenary and Jules Audemars are always enjoyable. Edward Piguet, we don't see them too much. John Shaeffer collection - google that if you have never seen them. This model is screaming to be a re-edition.
Since this is an Offshore post, if I were to buy another current production model, it would be the 42mm all ceramic pictured below. I don't recall seeing one posted here yet, but the dial is killer for my tastes. With the 39% tariff on Swiss watches, I don't see spending on this model or many others, but maybe that will change in time.

I like it almost as much as the all black ceramic. And at less than half the cost, I probably like it more Think about that - you're spending an extra $48,000 or so for the ceramic bracelet and lower case. Impossible to fathom.

Quite busy with the baby, so I don’t have very much energy for anything else than sleeping(when it is possible) and survival. That being said, I do adore the Offshore line. And the full ceramic is just gorgeous, so is the the bleu nuit, and the half n hal...

I didn’t even know there was a new dial version. I thought the slight color difference was just because of the photo. I hope you will get your version someday.

Courtesy of Monochrome. The comparison shows how different the detailing on the dials is. The new version pairs so well with the modern ceramic case, and is more of a "blackout" style with the hands and markers. The date window and AP logo are tops! ...

I have to say, I really like both versions. The „blackout style“ of the new one appeals to me a lot! However — and this probably doesn’t come across so well in the photos — the white elements on the dial of my version match perfectly with the silver screw...

I added my first one to the collection this year
But I have to admit, I do not wear it much. It's massive. The ceramic bezel fixes my #1 issue with most APs, which is that they are a total scratch magnet and look quite a b it worse with a bit of wear. The ceramic looks pristine. Like another poster said...
