Ok...got to see the new collaboration...

And I do think it's an incredibly well-designed, elevated, and superlative timepiece with tasteful details throughout the watch. I had to bring its black ceramic sibling to the comparison, and while they share a similar movement, there are some really special points of differentiation that make the new one very special. The brown ceramic itself is like a rich milk chocolate colour, which can shine in one angle and go fully matte in another. The dial itself has subtle changes to the writing (except for the logo, all in TS signature writing), a special Cactus Jack marker for day of week, a red weekly hand, and the fabulous moonphase. On the back the cactus jack logo on the winding rotor. And, it seems like all of the metals on the outside of the watch are in a rose gold material (eg calendar setting pushers, bezel screws, and deployant).

Compared to the Marvel collaborations, I have definitely a preference for this one! That being said, I also have a preference for my black ceramic version as well, given its super stealthiness and bracelet. Who knows if I will be able to be allocated one of these new collaborations, but I will seriously consider it! Well done AP!

I will say I heard the Cactus Jack piece has a bespoke box - and it could sway my interest. I have a closet full of green boxes of all shapes and sizes and have no idea which box goes with what watch. Pffft. Peter

Definite preference on your black watch. There is something so unique about an all ceramic Royal Oak. Sure, every brand offers black ceramic, but AP does it the very best, IMO. Appreciate the comparison!!
