Habing2 Doppel 2.0 vintage edition...

Hi All,

About a year ago I obtained a Doppel 2.0 direct from Maria and Richard. It had some specific customizations, such as blued screws, brushing of the case, etc. Now, after 1 year of ownership, I decided to take it to an even more personalized level by changing up the dial.

The inspiration for the dial comes from my fascination with vintage watches, and while I am too 'chicken' to navigate through the fakes and frankens, believe me when I say that I love the old school style and warm beige of the tritium lume. Funny enough, my fear of vintage watches but love of the vintage ethos has led to several acquisitions of Tributes, such as the TT Polaris 68.

Anyways here are the results (still on Richard's bench):

As you can see, I went back to the old-style dial of the Habring2's with the applied 12 and 6. I also included faux-patina which I know some of you aren't too keen on. I, however, am very happy with it.
What do you guys think? Hit or miss?

I love the colour of the lume to give it that warm aged colour, with the contrast against the dial its a great combo. It goes the extra length these indies go to make sure their clients/friends are happy. Congrats, I bet you are looking forward to getting...
