Dear fellow Purists. I just wanted to show the Goldpfeil watch with an alternative band option. For those of you familiar with the watch, the band resembled film, and the buckle an uptake spool. Well the bands were complicated to make, I am almost certain unavailable, and the buckles started eating into the band on the first day. Although I actually do have a never used band, I wanted to reserve it for posterity I guess, and thus proceeded to seek out an alternative option. In keeping with the whole vintage camera theme, I decided that a Horween Shell Cordovan strap would resemble a vintage camera strap. I also thought that strapping the watch on ones wrist with a faux camera strap would be much more appropriate, then with faux film. So here is the final project of all this WIS thinking. An NOS Goldpfeil watch on a leather band. Or, Vianney Halters interpretation of a vintage camera on my interpretation of a vintage camera strap.
