Not using the guillotine buckle, I just saw no sense...
.... in destroying a perfectly good band with an over designed buckle. As a rule though, cordovan lasts 4 times as long as regular leather. I spray the crap out of every band I get with silicone, and that adds years to every strap, so I expect a nice long life out of this one.

Very nice look, and I appreciate the rationale as well. That's not the original buckle, right? Should be obvious to me given that I've seen the original with the tang and covering plate several times, but just asking to be sure... Best, Gary G
