A beautiful watch and one I used to love, but, the large date on watches that we really don't use the date much for anymore, seems kind of dated (pardon the pun) to me.
I get it. We don't really need a watch at all anymore, but it seems the date was much more useful a decade or so ago where today it's almost superfluous. For me, I used the date to write checks. Now I can't remember the last time I wrote a check.
