but I mean so many of the Langes have 3/4 plates that it seems normal. Of course I absolutely LOVE the chronology, dear god what a movement but there's a spicy cost to it.
You're right... the heart is what matters, but I just wanted to do a little investigation to ensure I wasn't missing something.
I actually love the hand wind as no one else does an AC in manual, then to counter that, the button to advance everything at once, bliss!
I mean, I always let my SkyDweller run down, but I actually enjoy interacting with it, turning the vault like bezel and setting it. The 1815 AC, I can imagine being a different enjoyment, with a bit of a wind, some pushes of a Lange button, what's not to like really?!

Just wanted to point out that Lange has this brilliant system where one push advances all indicators by a day.
You basically have to set it one time, then it gets really easy even if it hasn't been worn in a while.

I think any watch has features that some people will like and others won't...the question is how does the watch make you feel and do you like it? Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think technically that this is a dud, so I wouldn't worry about...

I may be biased, especially when fedex gets here tomorrow, but I LOVE it! For me I love that you can advance all the indicators with a single pusher. That is a game changer. I will wear maybe on weekends. So can wind, click the pusher, get to where we are...

I am glad I don't have your "design eye" as it doesn't disturb me in the least. As I have said before... I see what people mean with the manual , but... button! haha It's such a unique way to interact with a full calendar that I actually enjoy the quirk.

I think it is one of the best looking pointer date annual calendars, and one of the very few, possibly the only, manual.
A 24 h hand on the moonphase, like with most others, is a complication I don'l like at all. The fact that it is a manual is a big plus for me, as one can enjoy windig it. It is a lovely watch and that is what counts most.

No, I don't know for sure...
But, if there is a danger zone, I expect it's spelled out in the "Jahreskalender" (Annual Calendar) operating instructions book (if the example you are considering purchasing pre-owned comes with papers).

I think the biggest deal breaker is it being a manual wind, I would imagine having to hand wind it every 3 days to keep it going makes wearing this annual calendar a chore after a while.
