WG single-fold Lange deployants are available, but ADs are not available.
You should be able to buy one from any Lange boutique. Not sure if there's a wait time.
For a ZW, single-fold would be better for the reason you mentioned, in my opinion.
The double-fold butterfly deployants were never very popular, perhaps because they were same price as the single-fold despite having far less metal.

Gents - are the original single deployant clasps still available from ADs in white gold, or just the newer double "butterfly" style? Thinking the beefier original version might suit my 42mm Zeitwerk bit better, though not opposed to the newer style.

I use deployant, but i have also pin buckles. It depends what i like. Sometimes this and sometimes that. While i am very active, a pin buckle hold my watch very tight. While relaxing, visiting family, to IKEA what so ever, a single deployant. ...
