Well, I have some other plans, playtime.
And I have to stay focused on them...
You will see, soon.
But yes, with a bit of time and a lot of money, it could well be added in my collection.
It is, to me, worth it.
Best,
Nicolas
Wonderful writing, Nicolas!

I once was thinking about this model, but due to the size and the fact it was automatic stopped me back then. Like you said, I may want to revisit my thoughts and think again.... Thank you much for reminding us of this watch. Very nice looking watch, inde...
Hi Ken,

If you're used to the modestly sized 1815 Moonphase, for sure the Langematik for Wempe will be an aesthetical revolution for you. But once you have it on your wrist, the magic is here. As for the automatic movement, I wish all the automatic movements have...

it is the rarest version because it was dedicated to Wempe NY only as you can see on this pic I took at the Manufacture 5 years ago: I think that the most interesting point about this watch is that it is the sole automatic Lange to feature a power reserve...

Nicolas - Thanks for reviving this one. It is one my my favorites, along with the other two you mention, the LM Anniversary and the RL. One minor note: I believe the original Lange deck watch had a PR of 40 hrs. The dial is very well done. Do you know if ...

First of all, thanks for having taken the time to prepare an argumented answer. You're absolutely right, it may not be everybody's taste. I would have upgraded it with an 8 Days Movement, it would have made more sense than this short power reserve. But I ...

What mesmerized me with this Wempe Edition is indeed this similar look with the old Observation pocket watch, and I think it is a smart thing Lange inspired themselves from this historical watch. But, as I said, the 1815 Moonphase remains the absolute pri...
Well, David, the Anniversary and the " Wempe " don't play on the same ground.
By: amanico : October 25th, 2010-22:23
One, the Anniversary, plays the card ot Nostalgia and Tradition, with its enamel dial, while the other, the Wempe, which shares the same movememt, is more on the historical register. But you're right, between the 2, I opted for the Anniversary. Now, it is...
LOL, Damien, my pleasure!

Well, I still prefer the Anniversary to this Wempe, but I totally share your analysis on what I think to be a great watch. Maybe it is because it is also signed Wempe that People neglected it? Objectively, though, this is a very nice watch, with many raes...
