In "leaps & bounds" They are stunning photos. Thank you for posting them. If I may ask a favour? Would you plesae place a couple of photos of the Double Split in action i.e all hands showing. Thank you.

It must be a pleasure to improve your photograph skills on this kind of movement! BtW if you work with a larger F (aperture) you should be able to get a more clear movement in term of focusing?

Alternatively I can do several photos and merge them. But I like the shots with a shallow DOF, rather than have everything perfectly sharp. - SJX

according to the lucky SOB who owns the watch, it can be too heavy to wear for extended periods. Sadly only the lucky SOB has the opportunity to wear it for extended periods. - SJX

Great photography. I just landed a platinum Dato and love it. To me it is the worlds most beautiful Chrono. But i suspect i'm preaching to the choir. I tried on a double split over the holidays. It is a truly outrageously beautiful watch.

I don't get it. I'm no Schwarzenegger, but I have some way-heavy watches. My Omega Planet Ocean on bracelet is 220g all up - that's gotta be heavier than the Double Split. Most Panerais (even on leather straps) would be the same weight or heavier. I never...  

I am pretty sure that the DS weights more than 220, sans strap and buckle. The Datograph is already about 140-150g so the DS should be well above 220g, but the main reason I would think is the concentration of weight in the head of the watch. Getting a pl... 

being a fan of all things Lange. Don't suppose that a lot of PT bracelets have been sold as they do add a LOT more weight onto already substantial watches, but to each his own... Having said that, wondering if the addition of said bracelet would really so... 

Lange platinum bracelets are extremely expensive. They add 30-40% to the retail of the Datograph for example. I won't go into whether that is justified, but it is undeniably costly. - SJX

49.400 Euro, the PT Dato with PT bracelet costs 82.400 Euro according to the latest, soon to be replaced, brochure. That is a 33.000 Euro difference, approx 67% of the Dato MSRP Costly indeed :-D Edwin
