... over the years, but I've never heard a production number from a reliable source at Lange. I don't know what to believe! 100? 600? Based upon the frequency that they arise for sale on the preowned market, I'd GUESS that more than 100 but far fewer than 600 were produced. 100 sounds a bit low, and 600 sounds way too high. It's just an educated guess, though. I say that because we know with certainty how many various limited edition Langes were produced around that same time (e.g., original 1815 Moonphases, Anniversaries, etc.), and we can see how often those watches, produced in known quantities, arise for sale in various places on the preowned market. Regardless of the exact number produced, the 101.027x is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL watch that doesn't come up for sale these days -- certainly as often as they used to. I always thought that Lange never "officially" offered this model in catalogs, and that Lange discontinued it, because it took business away from the "Stealth" (PT/rhodium dial) model. For various reasons, many people preferred the looks of the 101.027x to the PT Stealth. That was just my own speculation, though.
