A. Lange & Söhne

Less than 2 weeks ago ( see my post on 30th. Oct ) a new ALS convert, let's called him Mr. T, acquired his first Lange, the Datograph Up/down. He vowed that this would be his one and only Lange....... but we know better, don't we? Prior to our lunch today...  

The RL would have been my choice, too. And the current one, not the Boutique Edition, by the way... But not a bad Watch! As for the background, well... Well. :) Best, Nicolas

is very attractive in the metal Sam. It's unique and sure to be a talking point amongst ALS aficionados. I'm still on the fence on whether it will prove to be a long term love affair or a short fling. :) Best fernando

But same with you, I'm worried that it will only be a short fling... The concept is very nice... The transparent case, works very well with the Zeitwerk Luminous, as the disc constantly moves every minute I have yet to see it in metal... Hope to be able t... 

Love the RL boutique edition. Also love the RL platinum, but the premium is stiff. The Lange 1 lumen looks great, but I can't help but wonder if it's classic enough for my admittedly prejudiced view of Lange timepieces: beautiful yet austere. When I think... 

That's the one I'd choose.

I hope you told your friend about two special aspects about the RL: 1) the smoothness of the second hand, that is only possible with the "extra bit on top of the movement", where without it would not run nicely at all. 2) it has got on in-house Lange spri... 

I would have preferred him to have acquired the Pt "Original" RL, but well to each his own! Please send my best wishes to him, and to wear his watch in the best of health, always! Tschuss Stephen

Dear Fernando, DO share it with us here when you acquire the Pt RL! It may look like a humble watch, but in my humble opinion it is even more "complicated" than the recent launches, yes even that 1815 Perp Cal Rattrapante! DO wear it to believe in this ov... 

It will enjoy this RL a lot.... even if I would have chosen a diffrent dial for this LE... Fx ...  

But I would have without a doubt chosen the Lange 1 lumen. I have and appreciate the RL but there is something really special about the Lumen. I thought all pieces were sold out or so I was told by my AD, I might have to call them to find out?

And it was where I bought my DS, maybe the one/two they were allocated were already spoken for. Might have to make a few calls.

It was an AD that had a Lange boutique within but not a "true" boutique. I will have to make some calls anyways:)

Your friend has caught the Lange bug! The RL wg is a really subtle and understated beauty.. the blue quarter minutes font, blue hands against the white silvery dial. Perfect in my eyes... I am also considering my 3rd Lange.. But i narrowed it down to eith...
