The official pictures of the new Lange & Söhne watches unveiled this week-end in Firenze

Sep 17, 2017,03:12 AM

I was not in Firenze, the city in where all these pieces were unveiled so I'm not able to show you live pics and to give you more comments. As you know, I speak only about watches I could see and handle.

So here are the pics:

Saxonia Automatic:

Lange One Daymatic, maybe for me the model which takes the best advantage of the blue dial:

Saxonia (I regret that they didn't use the Saxonia Thin as a base for this blue dial):

Lange One (this one is back as you know since it already existed. It would be interesting to compare them):

And the already famous 1815 Rattrapante PC Handwerkskunst:

Once I will see these watches, I will come back to them.

Same thought than you FX. As an owner of the blue Lange 1 first generation, I would be really curious to know if there's a (huge) difference between both dials (and between main and sub dials like for mine)

Even if I fully understand the link between the moon phase and the starry dial of the 1815 Rattrapante PC Handwerkskunst, I would have like to see the same complication than the one in the new Lange 1 moon phase day/night. Best wishes Alkiro

Me too but the 1815 Rattrapante PC has a strong advantage: it is more expensive!

And so it justifies more the handwerkskunst decorative approach. Morevoer, the hunter caseback is more consistent with the 1815 since it has a clear pocket watch inspiration. Fx

I understand for the day/night indicator but I still regret it. The hunter caseback is a true good idea for me. You have the best of both worlds: 1/ A nice engraving and decoration 2/ A view on the splendid mouvement

In addition, I love hunter casebacks too as they offer a kind of "secret box" that only its owner can open and play with. Best wishes Alkiro

Agreed with everything.

The day/night indicator would look really cool in this version.

Yes, what a shame! 😩

Best wishes Alkiro

that would definitely be a killer version!

I think the recently released black dial version of the L1 MP kept ALS away from releasing a blue dial one.

I hope so! A L1 MP day/night with a blue dial won't work for me as the true star of this timepiece is its day/night indicator (too much blue kills the blue 😁)

In my opinion, the best choice of dial for this timepiece is, by far, the dark grey one. The contrast with the day/night and moon phase indicator is absolutely splendid. Sorry for the bad picture taken few months ago as it doesn't glorify this timepiece. ...

Yeah

I think you persuaded me with your bold argument! Since I couldn't see it in the metal yet, by the pictures I have thought the dial was black rather than dark grey ! I think the ALS offerings in dark grey dials tend to be the most appealing within its ser...

I second that.

The L1 MP with the dark grey(not black???) is besutiful in person. ...

either way

it seems a beauty. next month I'm in Germany and hope to have the opportunity to see it cheers P.

To try it's to love it 😉

Great new offerings

I would love to see them in the metal soon. Totally agree about your opinion on the Daymatic. It would also be my pick out of the four. Cheers, P.

Thanks! But I would be also curious to compare this blue Lange One with the first version.

There is something I prefer with the current watches compared to the very first ones: the glass seems to me clearer on both sides. Is it something you noticed when you take pictures? Fx

Thanks for the post!

Totally Agree that it would have been cool to have released the blue dial with the saxonia thin instead!

Blue dials are a nice addition to the collection, however it represents just following the trends.

I hope there will be a comparison on movement decoration of the standard 1815 Ratrapante and Handwerkkunst version.

I love Lange and blue is my favourite colour but...

 By: willski : September 17th, 2017-13:59
...For some reason these releases (excluding the Handwerskunst) don't do anything for me...? Maybe I need to see them in person. Also I don't understand why it's a limited production for 1 year and why say the 1815 (or other RL) wasn't included. I'm sure ...

There should be a good reason. Answer in 2018 after SIHH??

I trust L&S to manage perfectly their strategy. My 2 cents, Patrickh

Happy that the Saxonia 35mm got the blue dial and not the Thin.

The blue dial Saxonia 35mm will be my next watch!

I love this blue dial Lange 1! Any more live pictures anyone? And has any Forum member attended the event in Florence?

Not sure about a Saxonia thin with blue dial..

Maybe grey/slate dial or even black with Rose gold !That would be something!
