The little detail that changes everything... I have to confess that I really like the way the Lange Manufacture integrated the day&night indicator in the moonphase display. It is a very elegant way to combine both complications. Compared to the Grand Lange One Moonphase, the moonphase display finds again its original location and I like this. I find this watch more balanced. And I'm very happy to see a version with black dial. I think that this one is the winner!

my only wish would be for the black dial version to have the date in black with white date fonts.... like the good old 'Darth' L1...

That WG black dialed version looks superb. Although the PT version looks special with that bright daylight sky combined with platinum. Love the fact that they incorporated lume! It gives the watch a more modern look while still being classical. The Lange ...

which is a bit odd but still o.k. if a white metal option is additionally offered (also at a lower price point than platinum). As before: the L1 MP is the most noble looking L1. The black WG will be very interesting. Best Moritz
A Zenith reference book says Zenith first used a 2-disc day/night moonphase indicator...
... in February 2008, with the launch of the El Primero 4034 reference. Lange's implementation of this concept may be a bit nicer. I'm not sure if other brands did this as well.

Loved this new MP. Quick question to this community, which is way more knowledgeable than I am on ALS. Is it just me, or the main subdial (hour) on the L1 MP looks larger than the equivalent subdial on the regular L1? Thanks
