... it may look larger because there is a smaller concentric circle inside the hour subdial (which Lange uses on a few 38.5mm Lange 1 models -- I think models with guilloche dials and also the old Lange 1 "luminous" ref. no. 101.029, to name a few). An interesting comparison is to look at the dial of the limited Lange 1 "Cellini" (ref. no. 101.049). It's the same case size but with no moonphase and no smaller concentric circle on the subdial.
