Red, rose, everrose, yellow etc were never something I could see myself wearing that much. Coloured metal is always eye catching, and this is exactly what I would not want 99% of the time. I’m OK with my “yellow gold” Metal G-Shock, because it’s a G-Shock and is essentially just a fashion accessory in that configuration, and back in the day when I might go somewhere nice for dinner that requires a dress code, or go to a formal event, then maybe a coloured metal watch gets the nod. The honeygold however doesn’t catch eyes, or grab attention and so in that respect it fits the regular day to day better.
But everyone’s mileage will vary.
I do wonder however if the honeygold was an available choice on other models (so not LE) if the take up would be strong. Or, like you say, it would be pretty weak because many would see it as being neither here nor there.
