Dear all, I would be interested in your opinion about the following plan. I would like to somewhat reduce the number of my watches. I am looking at these three from my current lineup (all PT and the older models): Datograph Langematik Perpetual Double Spl...  

I also love the 1815 but I won't be able to use the date on it, far too small for my eyes.

I would keep both of them. Or keep the Dato and go for the 1815 Rattrapante Perpetual. Best, Nicolas

As for the Dato I agree with you completely that it is an icon but I\'d get the movement - plus free sprung balance - in the Dato Perp ... Best Andreas

unless I'm just kidding around-like telling Vlad to buy everything he sees. But this dilemma I can really appreciate. If you feel a need to reduce numbers a good idea would be to follow Nico's advice-keep the Dato and add the 1815 RPC. If you want to get ...

with the difference, that I was considering buying my next watch. I ended up buying the Dato PC, over Dato and Langematic PC. I loved the looks of it and I think the combination of a chrono and a PC in a single watch has a unique place in watchmaking. So ... 

the double split you have is wonderful. I don't suppose a 'replacement' will satisfy you more.

To me a purist is collecting movements, not only watches. Therefore option a) would be my choice. Best Moritz

The original Dato in platinum is an icon. I agree with Kari that the perpetual is difficult to read, so I cannot justify turning over some pieces to end up with same watch with different color dial (dismissing materials here).

The Datograph Perpetual brings with it the best of both the Datograph and the Langematic Perpetual. I'm similarly smitten with the grey dial.

I would sell the Langematik Perpetual and the Datograph and put this "together" for a 1815 Rattrapante Perpetual! Concerning variety of movements a Purist likes to have in a collection: The Double Split is unique and outstanding. The movement has the base...

I would not let go the Langematik Perpetual with it´s lovely Sax-0-mat micro rotor movement. Personally, I would tend to swap the DS for a Datograph Perp. WG Three Lange are better than only one or two.

Is indeed phenomenal. What giving up the Perpetual would allow me to do is go for the Langematik Anniversary - same movement. Best Andreas

if it was me I will go for 1st option ie keep what you have.. Personally I am not a fan of the 1815 rattrapant and Dato perpetual for various reasons both aesthetically and technically..

HI Andreas, I would recommend you to keep what you have. If you really waste a thought then maybe you can exchange the Dato for the Dato Perp....but never ever I would let a DS go away. A couple of years ago I replaced my Dato with a DS but I never regret...

I've recently gone through a similar dilemma....my humble opinion is keep the 1815 Rattrapante without a shadow of a doubt. Sell the Dato, DS and Dato PC and perhaps buy a Datograph Tourbillion or if you want to sell the 1815 Rattrapante, you can rotate i...
