A. Lange & Söhne

Hey Guys Cross posted this on the Zenith forums. In the market for a nice classic piece but would like to get something with a real complication. Have zeroed in on the following - a. Lange Zeitwerk b. Zenith Academy George Favre Jacot (the constant force)... 

I will admit I just had to do a quick background-read to fully appreciate the Zenith, it is a beauty. I enjoy the exposed chain & fusee constant force, even if I would tend to prefer it to be a more stealthy-complication. From a time-reading perspecti...  

Don't get me wrong: the Zenith is a great watch, maybe my fav one from the brand these last years. But I think that on a long run, you may become a bit tired of the dial lay-out with the strong presence of the chain. On the other hand, the Zeitwerk offers...  

Why? Because it's a more interesting watch if you ask me. And I feel it's better value. I've always liked the Lange Zeitwerk and wouldn't mind a black dialed version one day, but the Zenith is a better candidate if you ask me. Then again, if you're questi... 

The Lange has also an impressive constant force system which in its case has a real impact on the time display. I find the value of the Zeitwerk much higher. Fx

Even though I like the Zeitwerk, I'm afraid I may get tired of the dial because it does looks weight-scale'ish to me. It's one of the reasons why I haven't pulled the trigger on this Lange. Cheers, Anthony

I'd have a hard time deciding between the ZW and the Zenith based upon the dial side. The Zenith is a very cool dial to look at! But then, when you turn them over, the ZW wins hands-down. The ZW is a watch that I find myself constantly removing from my wr... 

Aesthetically I prefer it way better than the Zenith.. But that's me.. Good luck with ur selection
