I’ve said this before but I’m generally not a Roman numerals person, thinking it’s too classic in style, too “old” and may date the watch in some cases (for example, I think the original Datograph looks dated because of the romans).
But sometimes it just works for me, and this is one of those. Perhaps because the dial is very “clean” and simple.
PLM Week
This one has gotten a bit of wrist time this week. I find it I wear it like I used to wear my Datograph. Which is, somewhat consistently for periods of time and then not at all for several weeks. Like the Datograph I tend to wear it mostly in casual ways....

For me this look works.
I find the casual appearance of the whole watch combined with the strap, the dark, calming dial and the white Roman numerals very fresh looking. Not too classic at all.

I think I may have worn it only once in a true formal setting, I find it a little too big for that if I’m honest. But 99% of the time I’m casual so it works pretty well. The black dial and white metal are quite versatile.

Hope you are having fun. Regarding the strap, you could even put this one on a military green nato and it would work ( blasphemy I know… )

Not at all. A PLM is a PLM in any variant. Black has class.
I was not as upset as many other PLM owners when they launched the black version since the dial is the clear differentiator on the original and makes for a very different watch. But the movement is the movement and there are times one would choose to wear...
