I find the casual appearance of the whole watch combined with the strap, the dark, calming dial and the white Roman numerals very fresh looking. Not too classic at all.
I think I may have worn it only once in a true formal setting, I find it a little too big for that if I’m honest. But 99% of the time I’m casual so it works pretty well. The black dial and white metal are quite versatile.
I was not as upset as many other PLM owners when they launched the black version since the dial is the clear differentiator on the original and makes for a very different watch. But the movement is the movement and there are times one would choose to wear...
