I've been saying to use a Roman numeral hour disc since the inception of ZW ten years ago.

as a special edition , it would be interesting to see Roman hour disc combined with some hand-crafted work on the dial, depicting some features of the opera clock!

A few members here made a similar suggestion here on the forums several years ago! We must all be geniuses since we all think alike!

Thought about a “California” themed dial; although that is not quite right in my description.

Herr Einhorn and Herr Bobeck would probably say no. And the Dutch fella would tell me, he loves PuristSPro, and that he hopes we rock on forever. Gee, I know these guys too well.

They'd look at it this way... If Lange made a desk clock, what would make it special? Why does the market need a Lange desk clock? How do we differentiate ourselves? And last but not least, how much money will we lose? It'll take 800,000 Euros or more to ...

Lange was aware of that idea a decade ago. They never ran with it. Not as a PuristSPro Special Edition. Not as their own special edition neither.

love a Puristspro piece, but I am even more sure that it would be challenging to get all of us to agree on what model and what change we could make that we could all agree to (and then getting Lange to agree 😂) But…. It still doesn’t stop me in wishing ... 

There's no suggestion box. No decision by committee. A pure vision. We'd need a benevolent dictator to make all the decisions.

We we should just give it a try and see if we can get ALS to create a special WPS model for us. Maybe we can get 30 pieces together? Then maybe they would soften in their decision? Preferably a standard Zeitwerk model with a black dial and Roman numerals.... 

And LF did too many special editions recently, so nothing for the moment. The brands run hot and cold on this. When times are good, they don't want to do it. When times are bad, they all need the sales. Then also comes distribution. How will the pieces be... 

I think we should give it a try and just ask our friends here how many would join this project perhaps in combination with an at least partial advance payment. As a first step, let's see how many of our friends would be interested. There's no risk involve...

Than we have the first two interested parties. I don't think it's a bad idea to set up an escrow account, at least for part of the partial amount. You will probably also have to pay the manufacturer an advance payment.

If I were to go to ten brands today, I don't think I would be able to get a single brand to sign on. So due to this, we shouldn't get anyone's hopes up. And thus, we shouldn't inquire if anyone would join a project since the chances are so incredibly remo... 

A group purchase for insurance is a nice idea. Regarding watches I could ask GP. I have perhaps some good contacts now. The risk for you moderators could be mitigated or neutralized with an upfront payment, escrow or something of that nature. I don’t like... 

Trust me. There's a lot that hasn't been considered. It's definitely much more complex than it looks. It's easy if it's a watch everyone knows, and knows what it will look like on their wrist. It's harder when it's a more unusual piece. Regarding insuranc...

Lange did not follow completely its source of inspiration the clock of the Semperoper. Who knows why?
