A year ago I bought a brand new Lange 1 and had a similar problem. In addition, even the date was not changing correctly. I did send it back to the UK AD (I had bought it from Sincere Watches, the AD in Malaysia) who sent it back to Lange for 6 weeks. The watch came back perfect. So I would strongly suggest that you take the watch back to your AD. Lange watches are some of the best built and assembled twice prior to completion. I too was surprised that such a problem can occur but I understand even Patek owners experience the occasional problem despite the stringent quality control.

Although I am not 100% sure...
... when you wind it, it will take far longer for the power reserve hand to go up at the beginning and as it passes half, you notice it would move up quite fast..... So, the reverse is true, don't you think? Or, is it more than that? Just my 2 yen. Ken

Colton has explained the power reserve indicator perfectly. I am sure that there is nothing wrong with your watch. I believe you can find a description of how the power reserve indication works in the instruction booklet that comes with your watch.
Could you please clearly check the power reserve?

.. For your responses! I think Colton probably explained it perfectly.. After observing the watch for a further day it has behaved exactly as he explained. It is my fault - have never seen a power reserve like this before and thus it did not cross my mind...
