Kudos for returning the watch.
Don't know what I would have done were I in your position.
I guess Antiquorum had to walk a fine line between you, Nicolas and the consigner (assuming he is a bona fide purchaser). Hence their action to return the watch to the consigner. This effectively said, 'It's out of our hands now'.
Now if only the consigner were honest and a gentleman.... (Again, not sure what I would do were I in his position.)
Well, here's to a good solution to the problem ('win-win' as they say). Watch returned to Nico, you get refunded by Antiquorum, and consigner gets refunded by whomever he bought it from.
And thief gets caught.
