It is scary how much alike we are about this watch
I too was mesmerized by all the pix on the net as well as your words. I never got to see this watch in the metal before purchase. I reached a point where I had to have the watch over anything else. I actually made a not so good deal just because I was afraid the window to own the platinum was closing with so few out there. The day the watch arrived at my office, I had to hide in the bathroom as I was so overwhelmed by this watch on my wrist. All the attributes mentioned, you have hit the nail on the head. And, while others have said size is a detriment, I view it as the strength. The hands for me explode in your view of the watch, along with the 12. I think it actually makes the watch look bigger.
While you had also sold me on the anniversary, and believe me that too is a fantastic watch, I value the Emil more. There may be a lot more costly watches from Lange, but this Emil for me is the diamond. Thanks for a great write up. Hopefully others will be inspired to make a search for this jewel

The Anniversary and this one are hard to beat.

The RG is one of the few exceptions I will make to my " no colored gold " rule.
