and I appreciated it a lot. I found it quite interesting that they worked on the new movement about 8 years. If I had to choose, I would probably go for the old one. WG with blue dial ... :-) Thanks! Oliver

But I think that I have never seen the version you are talking about, the ref 221.027... I would be happy to see it because I'm sure that I would love it too! Fx

...but not this (to me) light color. A deeper, closer to black, blue color would be better. Any idea if this watch will be offered with black hands? Thanks for the detailed review and nice photos.

Due to the lights condition, the hands appear to be lighter than they are actually. As you know, blued hands can have a very dark rendering. It is the reason why blued hands are so beautiful: they offer a wide range of colours! :) Fx

For me, the deal killer is without a doubt just how disappointing this is to wind. Big letdown for me. I guess the Dato, L1, RL, and 1815 have spoiled me to what I expect when winding a Lange and this is a far far distance from that for me. Good looks for... 

Thanks for your words. It is a bit a question of perspective. Lange is so perfect that this feeling is disappointing in the Lange context. But I can also understand that it could be considered as a minor issue by other persons. Anyway, I think it is somet... 

... Honestly, I could live with both, but somehow I like the size of the original one, but wish it had the "just zero stop" mechanism which is way cool! Balance is good, but on my wrist, the original one seems to have better balance... don't know why. May... 

It is clear that the first version has a lot of charm. I would be very happy with it too! Fx

Hi FX, Thank you for this review. This 1815 looks indeed almost perfect. The slightly smaller size is for me too a very good sign of some better times coming. This watch seems to be a very appealing choice for a small complication in classic case. Clearly...

I prefer the original version much better and not only because i am biased against any tinge of red on the dial.. but i think the new version looks abit flat.. I think its because in the new version, the minute track is now much closer to the bezel since ...

I checked several times: the thickness of the new 1815 up/down is 8,7mm and NOT 8,9mm. So the watch is a bit thinner than the 1815 "3 hands". Sorry for this. Fx
