An eye for Escher!

Very good at identifying the background, with all those distracting timepieces on it. The background is, in fact, an original MC Escher mezzotint circa 1951, Boole #373, Mosaic I / Plane Filling I. Escher is yet another of my weaknesses. ;-)

Escher was and remains my first passion. I have a few. All originals, most signed. Mezzotints, woodcuts, lithos, and a few drawings. If you have a particular favourite...like any collector, I love to show off.

I must admit much of my love for Lange is in their clean lines, sophisticated aesthetics, and a lack of "bling." The handwerkskunst pieces demonstrate real skill, but they are not for my eye. I actually prefer the look of the Striking Time to the Decimal ...
